About Us

Working the Wood was started after owner, Steve Sellers, experienced some personal losses in 2022, where he began thinking about life a little differently and wanting to change his personal path. He purchased some woodworking tools, setup a small shop in his garage, and started making a few items for his wife and friends. Drawing on his experience in both Commercial Construction and Environmental Remediation and after being downsized from the private sector in 2024, he made the decision to pursue his newfound passion for woodworking full-time.

Working the Wood EMBLEMS are made in the USA, utilizing 100% domestic sourced materials. 

Working the Wood ORMAMENTS are made in the USA, utilizing both domestic and imported materials. All products are constructed with care and a little bit of elbow grease.
